I do like the adventurer’s shirt, because it gives her a bit more flair to put her more in line with the other Spyro 3 partners. Her old design was just… kangaroo, so the shirt gives her a bit more to stand out and convey her personality.
Can’t say I’m really a fan of the hair and the skinny waist, though. I liked that Sheila didn’t have anything obviously gendered in her design, because that’s annoyingly rare to see in female characters. I mean, at least they didn’t give her breasts, but even still, it just rubs me the wrong way. I feel like Insomniac deliberately refrained from falling into the standard “female character” design with her, and now Toys for Bob has planted her right back in there.
I remember in the game manual of Spyro 1 there was a fun little character model of an older looking Spyro and so I was curious as to how he might look in the new Reignited style. Since he’s an Artisan Dragon — I always imagined Spyro’s artistic talent being music.
I wonder if Toys of Bob would make their own bonus concept art of an older Spyro if the future for fun. It would probably end up looking much cooler than what I came up with.
