lately I’ve been feeling kind of stuck with my art, so i filled out this fun looking meme that’s been going around. honestly though, i’ll take any reason to draw my boy sans yessiree haha
I don’t really have a place to talk, but I felt like this kinda needed to be said.
So like, most of us, 8/10 Undertale fans ADORE the Undertale AUs, from Underfell, to Swaptale and beyond…but…I feel a lot of us have lost touch with what Undertale really is. We’ve made fucking AUs for AUs for crying out loud! In a way, a lot of us have forgotten why we played Undertale or why we enjoyed it in the first place. We’ve made so many AUs that we’ve forgotten who Sans is, or who Papyrus is…and as I’ve said I have no room to talk, but we’ve also made it all about the two skeleton brothers when there are SO MANY more wonderful characters in the game that deserve recognition as well!
I think it’s time….for a reset.
Pull out your games or pull up your favorite Youtuber, grab a drink and some snacks and settle in and replay or rewatch someone play Undertale. It’s time. I won’t reset mine, because I refuse because they’re happy…but I plan on playing a new round on a new computer and watching someone play it again. I think all of us should do the same.
We need to be reminded of what we fought for…or what we fought. Sans, the puny, lazy skeleton. Papyrus the happy loving skelee. Undyne the fish-waifu. Alphys the Nerdy Dino. Mettaton the hot leg. Toriel the Goat Mom. Asgore the sweet Goat Dad and SO MANY more loving adorable characters! We’ve lost sight of everyone and what Toby worked so hard to make! It’s time for a reminder. Go show some MERCY, or FIGHT….let’s get back our actual Determination.
Like I said, I love the AUs as much as everyone else…but we’ve really lost sight to what Undertale was.
